The Travel Nurse (RN) specializing in Med/Surg provides care in a 32-bed surgical unit for post-surgical patients with conditions requiring complex medical attention. This role entails managing patients after vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgeries while ensuring compliance with a range of medical protocols. Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Med/Surg - 4/4PCU 48's

Shift: Rotating D/N, 12x4, 48hrs per week, will consider 36's

Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

  • NH License
  • 2 Years Experience
  • Must have surgical experience
  • Required Experience: Chest tubes, Tubes, Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone, Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients, Trachs/Laryngectomies, Telemetry, Complex wounds, Central Lines – care and maintenance and blood draws
  • BLS
Other Details:
  • 32 bed SURGICAL UNIT MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE CARING FOR PATIENTS AFTER VASCULAR, THORACIC, COLORECTAL AND GENERAL SURGERY.
  • RN Patient ratios on days is 4:1 and on nights is 5:1
  • Expect the traveler to float
  • The most common diagnosis’s on their unit: ARDS, esophagectomies, whipples, sepsis
