This role analyzes operational, financial, and customer data to identify trends and opportunities, translating findings into actionable business strategies while ensuring data accuracy and alignment across departments. This is a remote position that is based in Columbus, OH. This role may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management. What You'll Do: Data Analysis & Insights: Go beyond basic reporting-conduct deep data mining and statistical analysis to uncover meaningful patterns, trends, and anomalies in large, complex datasets. Understand data sources, structures, and definitions across database tables to ensure data integrity and usability. Identify and interpret relationships in data that reveal operational opportunities, customer behavior trends, or potential risks. Analyze and monitor the impact of product/service offerings using statistical methods in Excel, Python, or R. Technical Development: Write programs using SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and in-depth analysis. Design and implement analytical enhancements to existing services, leveraging a strong understanding of product line and data dependencies. Partner with business units to assess the impact of proposed product or process changes using quantitative analysis and data modeling. Support the development of new analytical tools, services, or solutions that enable better business decisions through data. Reporting & Documentation: Develop research plans and project implementation strategies following model risk management procedures and analytical best practices. Recommend and design reporting solutions that clearly convey findings and insights - prioritizing clarify and substance over visual presentation. Create and maintain technical documentation that accurately reflects data sources, methods, and results, ensuring reproducibility and transparency Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with technical and non-technical teams to design, validate, and deliver strategic analysis that drives business outcomes. Partner with sales, product, and leadership teams to explain analytical findings in plain, actionable terms - translating complex data into insights that inform decisions. Serve as bridge between data and business functions, ensuring analytics directly support company goals. Continuing Education: Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to stay current with analytical methods, data technologies, and market trends. Continuously expand knowledge of AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance analysis and efficiency. Other duties as assigned. What You'll Need: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or related field required Experience in sales, analytics or related field. Proficiency in SQL, Python, Tableau, JSON, Atlassian, and Microsoft Office Suite, Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with passion for complex data analysis with minimal guidance. Excellent communication skills to effectively present technical findings to business stakeholders Self-motivated with high energy and strong work ethic Experience with or willingness to learn AI tools and emerging technologies What Can Set You Apart: Master's degree in relevant field Experience using Perl programming Prior experience in the finance or banking industry, with familiarity in data-driven or compliance-focused environments Knowledge of Splunk, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases Experience with data warehouses, Oracle Data Miner or similar BI tools Background in creating and interpreting predictive models 2+ years of business experience programming with R and Python 2+ years of related industry experience Benefits We Offer: Innovis offers comprehensive healthcare benefits to eligible employees including: medical, HSA, prescription, vision, dental.
