As the Principal Fluidics Engineer, you will be responsible for technology development and design of the complex fluid dispensing and mixing systems that are embedded within commercial food service appliances. You’ll work on a variety of exciting design challenges related to fluid cooling, valving, gas injection, transport, and more. Your subject-matter expertise and innovative thinking will help ensure our equipment offers cutting-edge and reliable technology that enhances the customer experience and market advantage.


  • Partner closely with product management, marketing, engineering, and operations to generate technology platforms and product modules that are based on tactically selected innovative technologies in the commercial appliances space
  • Serve as subject-matter expert in fluids and valving systems design; provide effective solutions and generate original concepts to a range of customer and market needs
  • Maintain strong understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, design partners, and customer portfolios
  • Conduct technology research in new/adjacent markets, and develop automation technology platforms and roadmaps
  • Propose and lead technology projects with an emphasis on integration of fluid and valving technologies
  • Perform fluid system design, development, testing, and validation of technology and innovation concepts/solutions
  • Review, select, design, and develop validation test plans for complex fluid systems applicable to beverage, refrigeration, frozen, or other related products
  • Design selection, specification, and application of critical components; Identify Critical to Quality (CTQs) features through the DFMEA process and reflect them in the component selection process
  • Support the drafting of plans for reliability, design validation, performance evaluation, component selection, and customer specific requests.
  • Perform simulations, and CAD design and detail drawing creation in SolidWorks, Creo, etc.
  • Integrate valves, tubing, controls, data logging, pumps, pneumatics, nozzles, etc.
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis calculations to define and optimize critical design parameters and predict system performance


Qualifications:

  • Expert in fluids transport, mixing, dispensing, micro dosing, ratioing, cooling, and or heating
  • Ability to heavily engineer a fluid system to meet a customer need
  • Bachelors or Masters degree and or equivalent amount of industry experience
