Paralegal

The Wilner Group has partnered with an NJ based family law firm that provides expert guidance and help on all family law and divorce-related matters such as custody and parenting time, alimony and child support, equitable distribution of assets, premarital agreements, post-divorce issues, and divorce mediation.

Together we are searching for a Family Law Paralegal to join their team. This is a full-time position at their Clinton, NJ office. Our client offers great benefits such as Medical, dental, 401K, & PTO The compensation for this position is $55k-$71k based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Investigate facts and prepare legal documents such as case information statements, briefings, pleadings, motions, orders, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence for review, approval, and use by attorney(s).
• Files pleadings with court.
• Prepares affidavits of documents and maintains document file.
• Delivers or directs delivery of subpoenas to witnesses and parties to action.
• Interfaces with clients regarding all aspects of a case.
• Manages attorney’s calendar and all court and other deadlines.
• Collect, comply, and utilize technical information to make recommendations to an attorney.

Qualifications:

• Paralegal Certification, preferred.
• 4+ years of recent family law experience.
• Must know how to complete a Case Information Statement from beginning to end.
• Excellent communication practices, both oral and written.
