Join Our Team as a Full-Time Paramedic We are actively seeking dedicated Paramedics to join our team in Ventura County, CA, specifically in Moorpark and Oxnard. If you are ready to make a difference in emergency medical services, we want to hear from you Key Responsibilities: Assess each emergency call to determine the best course of action and appropriate protocols. Utilize essential medical equipment and procedures including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen devices, and medications to provide advanced patient care. Employ effective triage skills to optimize efficiency during emergency calls. Deliver patient care following established clinical protocols and safety regulations. Safely lift and move patients as necessary for optimal care delivery. Communicate effectively with receiving medical facilities to relay critical patient information and receive directions. Take charge as team leader, managing the scene and unit when required. Drive the ambulance, maintaining efficiency and safe navigation to minimize response times. Maintain current certifications and ensure all medical supplies and equipment are stocked and ready for calls. Document all patient care and billing activities thoroughly to ensure accuracy and compliance. Adhere to policies regarding response times, patient status, and insurance preferences for transportation. Promptly report any incidents related to customer or patient interactions to supervisors. Review medication labels and instructions clearly and efficiently. Engage with patients and their families to gather information in various challenging environments. Monitor and discern changes in patient conditions, such as skin coloration. Communicate updates to dispatch and other EMS personnel regarding patient status. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Valid CA Driver's License. Ambulance Driver's License (from DMV). Medical Examiner's Certificate (MCSA-5875 and MCSA-5876). State of California PARAMEDIC license. Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association ONLY, handwritten cards not accepted). K4 DMV report (driving record) less than 30 days old. Completion of the following ICS courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800. Current ACLS and PALS Certifications (American Heart Association ONLY, handwritten cards not accepted). Why Choose Us? Salary Range: $31.35 - $43.42 per hour (DOE, averaging 42 hours per week for 12-hour shifts). $21.58 - $32.74 per hour (DOE, averaging 56 hours per week for 24-hour shifts).
