Director Of PreconstructionIn this role, you will manage the preconstruction efforts for our Religious and Cultural market and have overall responsibility for the group pricing efforts. You will be a key leader in the entire work acquisition process, including management, coordination, and delivery of the preconstruction phases of the project. Haskell brings both global reach and specialized expertise to Religious and Cultural projects, combining the scale to meet diverse needs worldwide with the craftsmanship required to deliver the intricate finishes that define houses of worship.Job Responsibilities:Assists the Market Lead and VP of Planning and Development in developing the Market strategy, vision, and business planning processCoordinates, manages, supervises, and trains preconstruction members and support staffEstablishes and maintains relationships with existing and new clientsParticipates with the preparation of proposals for new business and presentations to clientsAttends and participates in business meetings, industry events, and conferencesParticipates in and assists in attracting, recruiting, developing, and retaining top caliber talentOversees, prepares and analyzes cost models during the Design Development and/or bidding periodCoordinates and ensures that a preliminary construction schedule has been developed for each estimateEnsures and/or produces progress estimates at design milestones, evaluates material and system costs, reviews document progress and coordination, builds and maintain subcontractor and vendor relationshipsAssures that the estimates, including general conditions, are accurate, complete, and reflect the actual requirements of the projectOversees, plans and/or leads the preconstruction strategy meeting on the approach to the project or estimateEnsures that potential risk factors have been evaluated and reviewed with senior managementCreates and maintains schedules for all preconstruction activitiesEnsures that clear scopes-of-work are writtenEnsures that bidders are pre-qualifiedReviews project constructability and value analysisEnsures estimates are complete and reflect all that is required to build the projectMonitors monthly cost analysis for all active preconstruction assignmentsAssists and/or manages the preconstruction department budgetParticipates in the transition meetings between the preconstruction and operations teamsEducation/Experience:Bachelor of Science Degree in accredited construction related curriculum, such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent plus 12 years of experience; or 16 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.To thrive in this role, you'll need:Relevant experience managing preconstruction for large-scale projects with an emphasis on highly complex projectsDemonstrated preconstruction experience for international projectsAbility to travel internationally and domestically as project requiresExperience leading and developing team membersFundamental knowledge of contracts and project accountingAbility to understand owner/engineer requirements with conceptual ability to work with minimal informationKnowledge of construction, materials, market conditions and trade practicesStrong computer skills with...Haskell is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
