Revenue Recognition AccountantNew hybrid work opportunity for a Revenue Recognition Accountant with the Bruker Finance and Accounting organization based in Billerica, MA. Primarily responsible for the Company's revenue accounting function within the Billerica business services and revenue organization.This is a hybrid working opportunity out of our Billerica, MA offices and will require at least one day per week onsite.Responsibilities include:Perform month end close activities for US legal entities supported by the Billerica Business Services Center.Review and analyze customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment in compliance with ASC 606.Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to revenue recognition, including journal entries and account reconciliations.Prepare and review monthly SOX controls.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve revenue-related issues and discrepancies.Provide support for external and internal audit processes.Support management in ad-hoc projects and initiatives related to revenue accounting and reporting.Qualifications include:Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance required. CPA or equivalent training a plus.Minimum 2-3 years accounting or revenue recognition work experience with demonstrated general accounting work experience in a publicly traded company.Technical revenue accounting knowledge of US GAAP, and specifically ASC 606.Hands-on work experience with SAP or a similar financial accounting system.Hands-on work experience with BPC or a similar financial reporting tool (i.e. Hyperion, Cognos).Strong Excel, MS Office Suite and Windows skills.Current knowledge of US accounting and auditing regulations and accounting policies and practices. Unquestioned integrity in the application of such standards.Excellent organizational skills: resource management, workload prioritization and project management.Highly adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an emphasis on quality.Excellent interpersonal, computer, communication (both written and verbal), and presentation skills.Remains current with accounting standards and maintains an effective external industry and professional network.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, global environment with ability to gain commitment and coordinated action for initiatives.Builds and maintains constructive working relationships across the company at all levels.Ability to satisfactorily complete position compliance and training requirements.Valid Driver License in good standing, issued by resident state required.U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel.May be required to pass security clearance investigation.Bruker is an equal opportunity employer. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $64,800 and $113,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on several job-related factors, including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge, and travel requirements for this position.
