Environmental Service Technician IPosition is located: Mercy Fore RiverWork Type: Full TimeHours Per Week: 40.00Work Schedule: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PMSummary: Under the direction of the Director, Safety & Environmental Services, the Environmental Technician/Porter is responsible for cleaning all areas of the hospital according to policies and procedures.Responsibilities:Performs 7 step cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units/offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, and rest roomsFollows discharge cleaning procedures as writtenFollow infection control guidelines when cleaning precaution roomsUtilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to proceduresUses and maintains equipment properlyRemoves trash, biomedical wastes and soiled linen from patient rooms to appropriate disposal areas for Porter pick upReplenishes paper supplies, bedside and bio bags as neededMakes additional rounds for trash removal in patient roomsOther Information:Competencies and Skills:Behaves with Integrity and Builds Trust: Acts consistently in line with the core values, commitments and rules of conduct.
