*Job Summary*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including nursing homes and hospitals. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Nursing Assistant will work closely with nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care and support individuals with developmental disabilities.

* shift : 36-40 hours/week flexible for 2pm-12am, 6am-6:30pm, 6pm-6:30am shifts, every other weekend requirement
* *1*3 week contract

_*CNA Requirements:*_
* SD CNA License
* BLS
* 2 years recent CNA experience

*Duties*
* Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
* Help patients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety and comfort.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient care areas.
* Document patient care activities accurately in medical records systems such as Epic.
* Provide catheter care and assist with other personal hygiene needs.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
* Support patients with developmental disabilities by providing tailored assistance based on their unique needs.

*Skills*
* Knowledge of nursing home operations and hospital medicine practices.
* Familiarity with medical records management systems and documentation processes.
* Understanding of human physiology to better assist in patient care.
* Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities is preferred.
* Proficiency in catheter care techniques and related procedures.
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
* Ability to work compassionately under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
