We’ve joined forces with top AI and crowd researchers at Anthropic, Character.AI, Imbue, Stanford, and University of Pennsylvania to build a fair and ethical platform for AI developers to collaborate with domain experts to train bespoke AI models.About this role The Head of Expert Growth owns Pareto's expert supply: sourcing, screening, qualification, onboarding, allocation, retention, and pricing strategy. You’ll build systems and processes that ensure Delivery always has access to high‑quality experts with the right skills at the right cost.This is not a traditional recruiting role. You’re building agrowth enginefor expert supply—designing experiments, analyzing conversion funnels, optimizing for both speed and quality, and creating scalable systems that work across dozens of expert profiles and hundreds of projects.Qualifications Required6+ years in growth, marketplace operations, talent acquisition, or related roles with increasing scopeExperience building supply‑side growth systems required:Expert marketplaces (e.g., Alpha sites), data companies (e.g., Scale AI), gig economy platforms (e.g., DoorDash, Uber driver growth), or similar two‑sided marketplacesTrack record of designing and optimizing growth funnels: sourcing, screening, onboarding, activationStrong analytical skills: comfortable with metrics, cohort analysis, experiment design, funnel optimizationDemonstrated ability to: Build scalable systems and processes, not just manually recruitBalance speed and quality (fast hiring without quality is useless)Design compensation and incentive structuresUse data to drive decisions and continuous improvementExperience managing teams (even small ones) and building cross‑functional partnershipsHigh ownership and bias to action: you experiment, learn, and iterate quicklyExcellent communication skills: can translate between data/metrics and business strategyNice to HaveML/AI domain knowledge or strong interest in learningExperience recruiting or engaging specialized/technical talent (PhDs, domain experts, engineers)Background in HR tech, ATS/CRM systems, or recruiting operationsExperience with crowdsourcing platforms or distributed workforce managementFamiliarity with data labeling, annotation work, or AI servicesNetwork in relevant expert communities (academic, professional, technical)Key ResponsibilitiesOwn Expert Growth Strategy & Operating ModelBuild Sourcing & Screening SystemsOwn Expert Onboarding & ActivationManage Expert Roster, Allocation & UtilizationOwn Expert Compensation & Pricing StrategyDrive Expert Retention & QualityLead & Develop the Expert Growth TeamCross‑Functional Partnership & Data‑Driven Optimization with Delivery, Sales and Account Management, and FinanceWhy this Role Matters Pareto’s promise to customers—high‑quality data, on time— is only possible if we have the right experts available when we need them.
