Commodity TA

Attribution Search is currently targeting high performing talent for junior to mid level Commodities Trade Assistant (TA) positions at a growing hedge fund launching a new Commodity trading strategy.

The fund is a multi-strategy business model, with a number of different investment pods across Equity, Fixed Income, Macro and Credit in addition to the Commodity build.

Following the onboarding of a team of new Commodity PM’s, the CIO is looking to support this investment team with the hire of additional TA’s.

The TA’s will cover a broad scope of Commodity trading to include gas, power, emissions, oil, metals and agriculture.

This will be an on desk TA role working in high volume T0 trading environment.

Key duties will include but not limited to;

• Daily on desk engagement with Commodity PM’s.
• Advising PM’s and Traders pre and post orders.
• Trade booking and allocation.
• Monitoring and analysing live trading positions and P&L.
• Daily trade reporting.
• Handling orders in large scale and fast paced T0 trading environment.
• Build out of operational infrastructure to reduce operational risk and ensure accurate picture of exposure for PM’s.
• Onboarding providers to ensure access to relevant commodity markets.
• Coverage of multiple exchanges and daily communication with banks and brokers.

Given this a junior to mid-level hire (1-3 years) Hedge Fund experience is not a prerequisite.
