This position is located in Bethel, AK, working at Qavartarvik Customer Lodge./ppThis is a non-rotational position. Seeking to hire Bethel residents./ph3Responsibilities/h3olliProvide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times./liliEnsure that all luggage is on board for all passengers./liliOnly the driver will load/unload luggage from the vehicle./liliRepeatedly moves luggage or packages weighing at least 50 lbs./liliTransports guest to and from the hotel and the airport, requesting specific information on each passengers destinations./liliUpon arrival at the hotel, refer passengers to the front desk for registration as driver unloads luggage./liliBring luggage into the lobby, bring to room if time permits./liliMaintain vehicle mileage log at beginning and end of each trip indicating mileage, time, name and date./liliEnsure the vehicle has at least 1/2 tank of gasoline at all times./liliThe associate daily checks all vital fluids such as oil, transmission fluid, brake, etc. in the assigned vehicle./liliExterior cleaning: weekly washing of vehicle (either by hand or at car wash) inclusive of all windows, white walls and door jams./liliWaxing may be required once a month as decided by the assigned manager./liliInterior cleaning: empty all ashtrays, pick up loose debris from floor./liliDaily vacuum floors, clean windows, wipe seats, seat ledges and other surfaces as necessary./liliKnow all safety and vehicle regulations and emergency procedures and how to act upon them./liliEnsures children are seated at all times and are supplied with a child safety seat./liliHave knowledge of the hotel property, hotel staff, van service area, and hotel services with hours of operation./liliReport all accidents and/or traffic violations immediately./liliAdhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the associate handbook./liliWear the proper uniform at all times as specified by the Manager./liliOther related duties may also be assigned./li/olh3Qualifications/h3ulliContract requires employees to speak, understand, read and write English./liliA valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under the NMS vehicle insurance policy (may be required at other locations)./liliMust have a high school diploma or GED equivalent./liliOne (1) year of customer service experience./liliOne (1) year of previous driving experience./li/ulpstrongWorking Conditions and Physical Requirements/strong/ppWeather: Indoor/ppNoise level: Moderate/ppOffice conditions: Pace of work environment: Medium/ppCustomer Interaction: Medium/ppDescription of environment: Hotel/ppConstantly required to stand and walk.
