The Customer Care Center operates 24/7 to ensure customers have energy related solutions.Various shifts are available and candidates must be flexible and available to work any shift that is assigned to them.Please join us and apply todayTentative Start Date: February 2026Job ResponsibilitiesHandle residential inquiries relating to billing, payment, mobile app, website and customer movesReceive Operations type calls (gas and electric emergency, outage and gas emergency/inquires)Receive general and miscellaneous inquiriesUse CIS to maintain current and accurate customer information which will be accessed by other departmentsMay also perform other miscellaneous duties and special projects as assignedMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma, HSED or GED1+ years Customer Service and/or Customer Relations (billing, credit, payment)Must be able to work and adapt to various hours/shifts and a changing scheduleAvailability for 24 hour call out for storm trouble call handling is also requiredPreferred QualificationsPrevious care center experiencePrevious office/clerical experiencePrevious experience working in a union environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to be empathetic with customersAble to confidently multitask with different systems while on the phone with customersProficient with Microsoft Office productsAbility to use good judgement in making decisionsTesting RequirementsSelection System for Customer Service (SACS): This test is a multitasking simulation that places the candidate in a realistic environment and directly measures the candidate's ability to switch among job-related tasks, while maintaining the quality and accuracy critical in customer service positions. This simulation measures 10 competencies that predict success across customer service role. The 10 competencies include customer focus, multitasking, ownership, positive attitude, problem solving, processing speed, quality focus, sales focus, integrity, and words per minute (WPM).
