Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Immigration Attorney at Canizares Law Group LLC in Miami, FL, with flexibility for some remote work. The Immigration Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on immigration matters, representing clients in immigration proceedings, preparing and filing legal documents, and staying updated on immigration laws and policies.


The attorney must have experience in the following: asylums, removal proceedings, defensive applications for relief, family-based filings, naturalization, family-based consular processing, VAWA applications, and I-212/I-601A waivers. A keen interest in statutory interpretation and a confident and proactive demeanor in immigration court required.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to a state bar association
  • Experience in immigration law and procedures
  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluency in Spanish as second language is a plus
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management skills
  • Understanding of different visa types and residency processes
