They will register to lobby with the US federal government. This position will contribute to shaping and advancing the organization's policy priorities through research, outreach, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesLegislative & Regulatory Monitoring and ResearchTrack and monitor legislation, regulatory actions, and committee activity relevant to the organization's interests.Conduct background research on policy issues, including, but not limited to, trade, export controls, technology, and national security.Prepare weekly legislative summaries and policy impact briefs for internal distribution.Assist with drafting internal memos, talking points, and briefing documents for senior leadership.Stakeholder EngagementAssist in scheduling and preparing materials for meetings with congressional staff, federal agencies, and trade associations and other coalition partners.Lobby US congressional and US administration agency staff.Attend hearings, briefings, and stakeholder events to gather intelligence and report key takeaways.QualificationsRequired8-10 years government, trade association or think tank experienceBachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or related fieldSkillsStrong writing, research, and organizational skillsFamiliarity with federal legislative processes and regulatory frameworksProficiency in Microsoft Office and legislative tracking tools (e.g., PoliticoPro, BGov)PreferredExperience in a congressional office, federal agency, or advocacy organizationUnderstanding of US congressional and agency legislative and regulatory processesBipartisan house and senate relationships, including with leadership and committeesExperience supporting congressional outreach or coalition-building effortsCompensation & Benefits DetailsAn employee's pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs. The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
