Job Description Summary Join our dynamic team as a Certified Surgical Technologist II In this role, you will play a crucial part in the operating room, preparing sterile supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures. You will be responsible for direct patient care and will thrive as a member of the operating room team, demonstrating your knowledge and skills with confidence. About the Role: As a Certified Surgical Technologist II, you will follow established procedures, showcasing your advanced surgical skills and critical thinking. Your ability to respond to emergencies and assess the needs of both patients and surgeons will be vital. Your responsibilities will also include: Assisting with vaginal deliveries, instrument flow, and supply restocking. Providing excellent customer service at the front desk. Maintaining efficiency and setting priorities in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma and graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or military surgical technology training. Experience: Minimum one year as a Certified Surgical Technologist. Licensure: CST credential from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, or from The National Center for Competency Testing. Continuous employment in South Carolina as a Surgical Technologist prior to January 1, 2008 will be considered if not certified. Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA recognized provider. Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to perform various functions, including: Standing, walking, and sitting at all times. Working in confined spaces and maintaining physical dexterity. Lifting and transporting up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Working effectively under stress and during rotating shifts.
