Location: Armada, Michigan

Job type: Contract

Salary: $56.53 - 61.53 per hour

Work hours: 8am to 4pm

Education: Bachelors

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the company's interests throughout project lifecycles.
  • Oversee and coordinate engineering aspects to meet safety, regulatory compliance, quality, cost-effectiveness, and schedule adherence.
  • Develop and enforce engineering, equipment, and construction specifications.
  • Provide engineering support for project development activities (feasibility studies, conceptual design, cost estimating).
  • Oversee development of detailed design documents by external Engineers of Record.
  • Review engineering drawings and calculations for construction projects.
  • Develop technical specifications and bid documents for contracts.
  • Lead technical bid evaluations for engineering and construction contracts.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to meet project objectives.
  • Perform shop inspections and field engineering to resolve construction issues.


Skills:

  • Experience in the design, construction, oil and gas, or operation of natural gas compressor station equipment.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and codes (e.g., CFR 49 Part 192, ASME Codes, API Specifications).
  • Experience in procurement and contract document development.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 5+ years of applied engineering experience.
