JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY:

The main function of a thread inspector is to perform a dimensional inspection of the finished parts for compliance with product drawings.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Interpret results from inspections and communicate findings effectively to production personnel
  • Record the number of threads inspected and specific non-conformances by categories for daily reporting purposes.
  • Read and interpret product drawings
  • accurately use measuring equipment (dial calipers, micrometers, pit gauges) and interpret results.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must pass screening exam with a score of 80% on placement evaluation
