About the Role:
Were on the hunt for a dynamic Assistant Branch Manager to join the hive on behalf of our clients. In this role youll oversee the daily operations of the Geotechnical Environmental Building Inspection and Construction Services Departments within a branch office. You will also supervise branch personnel ensuring smooth collaboration and autonomy. If youre passionate about branch management and have a proven track record in geotechnical engineering and leadership we want to meet you

Your Mission:

• Perform geotechnical evaluations including slope stability foundation evaluations and roadway stability studies.
• Conduct complex structural analyses for pile elements underpinning systems and special engineering inspections.
• Prepare project scope proposals and manage ongoing projects.
• Represent the company positively during client negotiations conferences and technical meetings.
• Quote costs and fees for clients by preparing proposals and reports for various service lines.
• Oversee the direction coordination and evaluation of employees including hiring training and performance management.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of clerical and personnel records.
• Investigate and respond to employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to safety procedures.

Core Competencies:

• Geotechnical Evaluations: Expertise in geotechnical engineering environmental consulting and structural design.
• Leadership: Skilled in employee management training and performance evaluations.
• Project Management: Proficient in scheduling cost control and client relationship management.
• Communication: Strong ability to write reports present at meetings and communicate effectively with clients and staff.

What You Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from a fouryear college or university.
• 3 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Florida.
• Thorough knowledge of geotechnical engineering and environmental services consulting.
• Valid Florida Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check in accordance with Floridas Jessica Lunsford Act.

Skills Required:

• Geotechnical Engineering: Proficient in evaluations and structural design.
• Leadership & Supervision: Experienced in managing and training staff.
• Project Management: Skilled in scheduling cost control and proposal preparation.
• Computer Skills: Able to use Field Data Collection (FDC) and email for reporting.

Certifications:

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Florida Required.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering Required.
