OverviewThe Property Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of residential or commercial properties on behalf of property owners. Responsible for maintaining property value attracting tenants and ensuring a positive tenant experience the Property Manager is essential to the success and profitability of real estate investments.Key responsibilities- Manage all aspects of assigned properties including maintenance rent collection and tenant relations
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize property occupancy and rental income
- Ensure compliance with local state and federal regulations
- Conduct regular property inspections and address maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Handle lease agreements renewals and terminations
- Oversee budgeting financial reporting and expense control
- Supervise property staff and contractors
- Resolve tenant concerns and issues professionally and efficiently
- Coordinate marketing and advertising efforts to attract prospective tenants
- Implement and enforce property policies and procedures
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements with vendors and service providers
- Respond to emergencies and address security concerns
- Conduct thorough background checks on potential tenants
- Coordinate with property owners on strategic decisionmaking and goalsetting
- Maintain accurate property records and documentation
- Bachelors degree in Real Estate Management Business Administration or related field
- Proven work experience as a Property Manager or similar role
- Deep understanding of property management regulations and best practices
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills
- Excellent knowledge of property maintenance and facility management processes
- Proficiency in property management software and MS Office
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of marketing and leasing techniques
- Strong problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Detailoriented and highly organized
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with legal and ethical standards for property management
- Professional certifications such as Certified Property Manager (CPM) or similar are a plus
- Valid real estate license may be required depending on local regulations
