Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in Indianapolis, IN.

This position is expected to begin in May 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.

  • Performs entry-level work.

  • Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.

  • Meets required schedules while producing quality work.

Minimum Requirements
  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.

  • Must have completed second year studies

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel daily or overnight

  • Good communication skills
  • ​​​​​​​Valid Driver’s License to operate an AECOM provided motor vehicle on construction project site(s) to support project tasks assignments and scope of work. For positions with driving responsibilities, Motor Vehicle Records are reviewed as part of AECOM’s background check process to ensure compliance with the Company’s driving standards.
