Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions using SQL, Visual Basic, .NET, and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create and maintain SSRS reports to provide insightful and actionable data for stakeholders.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity through effective database design and maintenance.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for existing applications and reports.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our systems and processes.
- Participate in code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices for software development.
- Document technical specifications, user guides, and other relevant documentation as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in creating and supporting SSRS reports.
- Solid understanding of database concepts, including database design, normalization, and optimization.
- Experience with version control systems - agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Degreed candidates: 5 years of proven experience in software development with expertise in SQL, Visual Basic, and .NET technologies. Non-Degreed candidates require 7 years of experience and Microsoft Certifications focusing on SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer).
- Experience with other reporting tools such as Power BI or Crystal Reports.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
