Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil / Highway Engineer for immediate employment in the Newark, DE office.

Qualified applicants will be part of a dynamic Design Team responsible for the design elements of small to large-scale Highway Improvement Projects (arterials, freeways, interchanges).

This is a prominent role and outstanding opportunity for an ambitious, career-oriented professional who excels in a team environment but is also able to work independently on tasks.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • The selected candidate will work on a variety of challenging projects throughout the area
  • Collaborating with other engineers and project managers
  • The candidate will also work with junior staff to develop their skills and lead project teams to successful outcomes
  • The selected candidate will work primarily on Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) projects as well as for other clients throughout the Greater Pennsylvania Region.

  • BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in Civil Engineering, with an interest in Transportation/Highways or other related field

  • EIT Certificate or PE License (PA & WV preference)

  • Experience with Microstation, Inroads, ORD, and AutoTab software or Autodesk Software

  • Experience with DelDOT and Pennsylvania Turnpike projects

  • Experience in multiple elements of civil engineering design with an emphasis on transportation projects
