JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is seeking an "Expression of Interest" for Site HSE Lead for a long-term LNG terminal maintenance project located in Brownsville, TX. The Site HSE Lead will oversee all health, safety, and environmental aspects of the LNG maintenance project. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing environmental impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management:
    • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
    • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
    • Lead safety meetings and training sessions for staff and contractors.
    • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Ensure Control of Work is in accordance with Owner HSSE Management Systems and Owner's HSSE Supplement as may be revised.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure all activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Maintain records and documentation related to HSE activities.
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting of incidents.
    • Ensure the contractor is a subscriber to ISNetworld® ("ISNET") and fulfills all Owner requirements to remain in good standing.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Provide guidance and support to site personnel on HSE matters.
    • Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among all project stakeholders.
    • Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to integrate HSE practices into daily operations.
    • Plan and implement mobilization for ramp-up and ramp-down of staff as part of commissioning and shutdowns, considering all aspects of Health, Safety, Security & Environment.
  • Risk Management:
    • Align risk management processes with project plans.
    • Develop and implement safety cases.
    • Measure and monitor performance.
    • Conduct audits and reviews.


QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in an HSE advisory role and a minimum of 10 years of O&G industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in using HSE management software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
