Duties
This role provides to manage and execute environmental programs for the . Coast Guard and to serve as an advisor on all aspects of the assigned environmental areas.

Typical work assignments include:
* Planning, developing, organizing, administering, evaluating and coordinating the Base Environmental Management Program ensuring the installation is in compliance with all environmental requirements at the Federal, State, local, departmental/organizational levels.
* Providing oversight for and is responsible for the administrations and overall compliance and management of such programs and issues including air emissions, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, toxic waste, PCBs, drinking water, pollution prevention, solid waste, etc.
* Briefing key management officials on program status, issues of non-compliance, areas of concern, manages program resources develops budget requests and supporting documentation and justification for program resource requirements.
* Develops and implements policy and procedural documents to comply with current and new/changing environmental regulations.
* Reviewing project designs, plans, specifications, field investigation reports, remedial/corrective measure studies, reviews and approves scope of work, develops technical reports and position papers on environmental issues and concerns.
