The Division of Adult Institutions is currently recruiting to fill two part-time Hemodialysis Technician positions, one 70% and the other 75%. These positions will be headquartered at Fox Lake Correctional Institution (FLCI) in Fox Lake, WI.
Position Summary
These positions are responsible for assisting in the dialysis care provided to patients in the Dodge/Fox Lake Correctional Hemodialysis Unit.Primary duties include providing direct patient care to patients in the Hemodialysis Unit and performing other technical tasks to assist with the functioning of the dialysis unit, while under the direct supervision of a Nurse Clinician.
Salary Information
The starting pay is $23.32 per hour, plus excellent benefits. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. The pay schedule/range is 06-13. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Job Details
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified applicants will have:
• Experience working in a Dialysis Unit or other healthcare setting
• Experience providing direct patient care or other health related services
• Education and/or training providing hemodialysis or related services (CNA, phlebotomy, etc.)
In addition to the above, well qualified applicants will have:
• Experience working as a Hemodialysis Technician, performing tasks such as:using dialysis equipment, performing water room procedures, and preparing dialysis solutions.
