Service Shop Tech Class C

Assist shop technicians in the repair and overhaul of industrial natural gas engines.Primary Job Responsibilities:Does shop cleanupWorks well with his co-workersMust work safelyMust be able to cooperateAssists in the repair of shop and/or field workMust do service reports, timecards, and other paperwork in a legible, understandable mannerAssist the Class A, B and Journeyman Mechanic where required and observe closely to gain additional knowledgeMust take advantage of any and all service schools and training programs that are offered by the companyPromote good welfare among the company and its' divisionsPerform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications:Must have GED, High School Diploma, trade school or special service training preferredTechnical background or related experience in engine maintenance and repair preferredRequirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's): Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectivesMust meet goals and objectives set forth by the companyMust conform to company policies and procedures set forth by the companyMust have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance carrier standard if driving company vehicleMust be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirement as outlined by the Department of TransportationMust be computer literate, a Windows based environment preferred (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook)Must be dependable and able to work independentlyMust be able to lift 50 poundsMust be able to bend and twist several times a dayMust have the ability to work flexible hours and daysMust maintain good client relationsMust maintain a professional appearanceMust promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environmentMust have the ability to effectively operate basic shop equipmentMust have basic set of hand toolsMust have basic engine knowledgeMust protect the company assets and interestsWorking Conditions:Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.Weekend hours as necessaryOutside work as requiredEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
