Big Data Developer

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Performance Big Data Developer for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC.

Position Title: Big Data Developer

Location: Charlotte, NC

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.

Expected Duration: 12 Months.

Job Type: CONTRACT, (Hybrid)

Shift: Monday- Friday (5x8)

Pay Range: $60 - $65/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

The role encompasses the full development lifecycle: requirements, design, develop, documentation, test and deployment.
The subject area is data management: delivering solutions to restructure, simplify and maintain data management, data processing and reporting processes as well as meticulous capture and documentation of technical metadata.
Excellent data and technical analysis.
Solid Experience of Big Data development (Hive, Impala or Spark).
Proficient in hands-on relational database/SQL development.
Effective communication and collaboration skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
