Reston, United States Booz Allen Hamilton Full time
Job Number: R0210559

Solution Architect, Lead

The Opportunity:

At a certain point, experience-based system design can start to look like clairvoyance. When you‘ve developed so many systems that you can not only orchestrate the best solution for any technology-based challenge, but you can also anticipate and preempt future issues, you‘re a solutions architect. You‘ve evolved your skills into strategy through a long path of software development accomplishments and the curiosity to understand how all the pieces of an IT ecosystem fit together. Are you ready to use your combination of knowledge, skill, and experience to take on the toughest challenges in national security?

As a lead solution architect on our team, you‘ll translate your customer‘s IT needs and future goals into a plan by crafting architecture products, design specifications, a technical roadmap, and more. Through your leadership, we‘ll help transform the way Intelligence Community (IC) agencies use technology including cloud migration, integrating advanced technology, and modernizing legacy systems. And, what do you do next in a career where you‘ve reached this level? You mentor the next set of developers to help them grow into tomorrow‘s solutions architects. As a technical leader, you‘ll shape the digital solutions business and identify opportunities for growth.

Work with us and build the future of technology in national security for the better.

Join us. The world can‘t wait.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience as a solution architect of complex systems, including the design and development of microservices-based solutions

  • 10+ years of experience leading Agile teams within DevSecOps environments and applying full-stack IT modernization approaches

  • 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, or virtualized on-prem solutions

  • 5+ years of experience with continuous integration(CI)or continuous deployment(CD)pipelines in public or hybrid cloud environments using technologies, including Jenkins, GitLab, Apache Subversion, Ansible, Puppet, or AWS Cloud Forms

  • Experience with ETL data pipelines and automation

  • Knowledge of containerization approaches and tools, including Kubernetes or Docker

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor‘s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience designing serverless architectures using managed cloud services

  • Knowledge of AI and ML techniques, including natural language processing, classification, and anomaly detection

  • AWS Solution Architect, Azure Solution Architect, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect Certification

  • Master‘s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
