Engineer-In-Training (EIT) - Water/Wastewater Resources Engineer - open to EIT or PE / Civil Engineering

BGE is seeking a Engineer-In-Training (EIT) - Water/Wastewater Resources Engineer - EIT or PE to join the Public Works department in our San Antonio Office (San Pedro Ave near airport).

Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity to learn Hydrologic/hydraulic modeling experience using design tools: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, InfoWorks, XPSWMM, WaterGEMS, and WaterCAD, CAD and/or Civil 3D.
  • Responsible for preparation of feasibility studies, design of water, wastewater, sanitary, storm sewer, paving, and detention facilities
  • Get exposure and experience in hydrologic and hydraulic model analyses, water and wastewater pipeline planning and modeling

Requirements:

  • Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Minimum Requirement: New Graduate Passed Fundamentals Exam (FE)
  • EIT Role: Ideally has 2-3yrs work experience as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT)
  • Project Engineer Role: Ideally Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in state of Texas (or able to meet requirements from other states to be licensed in Texas within 6 months).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
