The Division of Juvenile Corrections is currently recruiting to fill a Teacher - Substitute- Limited Term Employment position located at Copper Lake / Lincoln Hills schools in Irma, WI.

Position Summary

The substitute teacher provides to assigned students, instructional and educational services, project-based learning, and provision of appropriate instructional resources, providing guided and independent practice, evaluation of progress, and appropriate remediation in the absence of, or to aid the full-time licensed Teacher at LHS/CLS. These activities are carried out under general supervision. This position works as a substitute teacher in an as needed basis.

Salary Information

The starting pay will be between $20.24 - $31.82 per hour. The pay schedule/range is 13-04.

Job Details

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.

The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.

The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.

LTEs are not eligible to receive the following benefits: seniority, vacation, paid holidays, sick leave, performance awards, military leave, or time off with pay for jury duty, voting or military pre-induction physical examination.

Qualifications

Applicant must have certification as a Substitute Teacher grades K-12.
