The is filling multiple temporary, full-time Liquor Distribution Worker 1 positions. We have openings for both day shift (6:00 AM to 2:30 PM) and swing shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM), Monday through Friday and weekends as needed.
Salary: Temporary positions are paid on an hourly basis and start at the fourth step in the Liquor Distribution Worker 1 position ($4,024 Month / $23.21/ Hour).
Location: OLCC Headquarters, 9079 SE McLoughlin Blvd., Portland OR 97222 (parking is free)
Length: The expected duration for the temporary position is 6 months or 1040 hours.
Interviews for this position will be held every Thursday from 12:00pm-3:00pm, starting on July 11.
Who are we?
The OLCC is the agency responsible for regulating the sale and service of alcoholic beverages in Oregon by administering the state's Liquor Control Act and regulating the production, processing and sale of recreational marijuana in Oregon through the Control, Regulation and Taxation of Marijuana and Industrial Hemp Act. The agency also regulates the production, processing and sale of medical products sold to Oregon Medical Marijuana Program cardholders in OLCC licensed marijuana shops.
The agency is comprised of three major operational programs; the Distilled Spirits Program, the Recreational Marijuana Program, and the Public Safety Program. All three programs are supported by the Administration, Financial Services, and Support Services divisions. Revenue generated from these programs helps support state and local government programs. The OLCC distributed more than $625 million in the last two years to Oregon programs, cities and counties. This money helps fund essential services such as schools, police, and public health programs for Oregonians.
What will you be doing?
You will work with a dynamic group of employees in a fast-paced environment to quickly move distilled spirits through the Distribution Center for shipment to the more than 282 liquor stores throughout the State of Oregon. You will manually pick up full cases of liquor from pallets, racking, or staging areas and load the products onto a conveyor system. You may operate a shrink-wrap machine to wrap and seal repack (split-case orders) cases for stability and security. You may also use electric cart and radio frequency (RF) scanner to replenish stock to conveyor locations. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Working Conditions:
Typical warehouse environment includes limited exposure to daily weather conditions, elevated noise level on the conveyor system and constantly running shrink wrap oven.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50-pound cases of product during an 8 hour shift; AND
Must be at least 18 years of age; AND
Have a basic knowledge of spoken and written English sufficient to understand verbal and written instructions and to respond to requests in person.
