Job Summary

As a Civil Engineer at AECOM, you will work under the supervision of a Project Engineer as part of a larger design team responsible for the design of medium to large scale highway reconstruction projects in the Greater Pennsylvania Area. You will, build analytic and design skills. Conduct engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Collect and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Use computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems. Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.

The position is scheduled to begin in June 2023.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Design of roadway geometry, traffic control, as well as signing and pavement markings
  • Utility coordination support
  • Computer Aided Design production
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
  • Related experience in a relevant internship or professional work experience in
  • support of transportation design
  • FE/EIT
  • Drivers license
  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
  • MicroStation and/or AutoCAD familiarity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate effective time management, task prioritization, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work productively in a team environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible – can adapt to shifting priorities / work schedules
  • Able to work independently /self-learner
  • Can take direction from others and in turn can provide guidance to others
  • Flex schedule with a hybrid work arrangement is anticipated
