We are seeking a talented Regional Infrastructure Analyst to join our dynamic team and drive excellence in our virtual compute environments across our regional sites. In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our virtual infrastructure is running at peak efficiency while meeting the evolving needs of our application owners and customers.

As a Regional Infrastructure Analyst, you will provide expert virtual infrastructure guidance to help maximize efficiency and meet diverse customer needs, continuously research and adopt new technologies, install, configure, and maintain Windows-based servers, including operating systems and hardware, maintain VMware and Citrix environments, perform network troubleshooting, and client-server support. You will also oversee relationships with vendors, handle purchasing, and manage budgets for virtual compute and storage hardware. Be prepared to perform tasks outside normal business hours, work on weekends, and be on call for at least one week every other month.

Responsibilities May Include:
  • Consulting with application owners to provide virtual infrastructure expertise to help them maximize efficiency and meet customer needs.
  • Keep up-to-date with new technologies that could benefit advance and simplify regional operations.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining the operating system and hardware on Windows-based servers.
  • VMware, Citrix, software troubleshooting, network troubleshooting, and general client-server troubleshooting skills.
  • Maintain vendor relationships, purchasing, and budgets for virtual compute and storage hardware
  • Support local storage environments, including general NFS (Network File System) and SMB (Server Message Block) administration and support of disaster recovery solutions.
  • Consult and assist in the implementation of technologies for SCADA operations
  • Partner with Global Service Desk and central support groups to provide seamless support to users.
  • Participating in Follow the Sun support for global infrastructure environments.
  • Being available to perform tasks outside normal business hours and on weekends as well as being on call for at least one week every other month.

Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High school diploma
  • 2 or more years of operating experience with VMware and ESX operating systems, including architecture, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
  • 4 or more years of operating experience with Windows or UNIX server operating systems, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and DFS
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with the AWS and Azure cloud providers
  • Setup, configuration, and problem diagnostics of server hardware including RAID, mirrored disks, and SAN/NetApp

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other IT/IS-related major
  • Understanding of WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS
  • Knowledge of remote support concepts and tools
  • Operations experience
  • Self-starter
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively across time zones and geography
