As a Graphic Design Specialist for Waste Connections your skills will help serve the education and outreach marketing needs of greater Clark County and the Waste Connections Columbia River Division.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Familiarity with Clark County and regional recycling/composting practices.
  • Microsoft Office experience (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Express, Adobe Illustrator, & Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience using Canva Teams.
  • Excellent self-motivation skills; strong work ethic.
  • Strong active listening and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with website and social media management.
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Experience in business or professional outreach activities and/or public speaking.
  • Bachelor‘s degree in a field related to area of assignment; and sufficient experience needed for the level of the position.
  • Proven ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships.
  • Must have a valid driver‘s license, proof of auto insurance, and a good driving record.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work collaboratively and in conjunction with City and County business partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness of project completion.
  • Ensure contractual media/marketing/outreach obligations are met monthly.
  • Comply with Corporate brand requirements.
  • Lead and approve all design related materials including print, website and other outreach materials.
  • Assist in website redevelopment and maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with new Requests for Proposal responses.
  • Assist and collaborate to help with open market branding and outreach throughout our Columbia River Division.
  • Work cross functionally with other departments, job sites and partner agencies.
  • Provide written team monthly reports detailing work done in alignment with defined work plan.
  • Assist with tours of the Materials Recovery Center.
  • Assist in staffing at community outreach events on the weekends.
  • Assist with other projects/tasks as business needs arise.
