Position Summary:
As a Technical Sales II, you will play a crucial role in the sales process, contributing to the company's success by providing technical expertise, exceptional customer support, and tailored solutions to meet the diverse needs of our customers in the pressure relief solutions market. Your responsibilities will encompass understanding the intricacies of safety rupture discs and their applications, addressing customer inquiries, preparing technical documentation, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
As part of the Technical Sales team, you will provide timely and accurate quotations and technical information to various OsecoElfab departments, ensuring customer satisfaction with required product and delivery specifications. You will engage in direct interactions with new and existing customers and representatives through inbound and outbound calls, offering technical information, quoting, pricing, and availability to provide top-notch customer service.
You may also be assigned territories and/or sub-segments to help manage alongside the Divisional Sales Manager and/or Regional Sales Managers.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate safety rupture disc solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- Prepare detailed technical proposals and quotations in the D365 system.
- Develop a deep understanding of OsecoElfab's safety rupture discs, including their specifications, features, and applications across different industries.
- Deliver product presentations to customers, highlighting the technical aspects, benefits, and applications of OsecoElfab's safety rupture discs.
- Handle inbound customer and representative sales calls, providing effective communication and support.
- Answer inbound calls, take messages, or redirect calls to the appropriate department as necessary.
- Ensure orders are accurately and promptly entered into the ERP system.
- Provide technical training to sales team members to enhance their understanding of OsecoElfab's products and improve their selling techniques.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including product datasheets and application notes, to support sales and marketing efforts.
- Develop sales strategies, identify opportunities, and actively participate in closing deals.
- Provide technical assistance during pre-sales and post-sales interactions to address customer inquiries effectively.
- Assist with basic RMA/Handoff and customer complaint administration.
- Manage the sales inbox, prioritize incoming queries, and respond promptly to customer communications.
- Utilize the Part Configurator for product configuration.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customers' needs are met effectively.
- Support the wider team functions and assist with other tasks as required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working both independently and as a contributing team member.
- Adaptive and resilient in the face of change.
- Strong appetite for continuous learning and improvement.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting various documents, including pricing books, product catalogues, regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and technical specifications.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, capable of effectively communicating with all levels within the organization, including management level executives.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive and professional rapport with coworkers, customers, representatives, vendors, etc.
- Skilled in calculating percentages, discounts, interest, and proportions.
- Competent in carrying out instructions provided in written, verbal, diagram, or drawing format.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, and business systems such as Epicor and Dynamics 365.
- Capable of conveying technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Possess a customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for customer visits and industry events.
- High School Diploma or general education degree GED; or minimum two years related experience in office environment and/or technical training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand complex engineering concepts related to safety rupture discs.
