Supervisory Audiologist

Summary

The Phoenix Veterans Health Care Systems (PVAHCS) South East Community Based Outpatient Clinic (SE CBOC) in Gilbert, AZ is recruiting for 1 Supervisory Audiologist. The incumbent is responsible for the supervision, administrative management, and direction of the SECBOC audiology program in a unified complex, multi-site Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Service.

Duties

Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Provides orientation/training of Primary Care and other staff regarding various aspects of Audiology and of the services provided. Keeps current with theory and practice through continuing education programs, journals, textbooks, and other literature, and in-service programs. Develops, organizes, directs, manages, supervises, controls, and implements policies and procedures in focused clinical programs. Plans, assesses, and evaluates programs to ensure proper coordination between health care delivery within the section and the overall delivery of health care. Exercises supervisory responsibilities such as planning and scheduling work, assigning work to employees, accepting, amending or rejecting completed work, assuring that production and accuracy requirements are met, appraising performance and recommending performance standards and ratings, assigning delineated clinical privileges, approving leave, and effecting disciplinary measures. Monitors and reports on status and progress of work, evaluate program quality to ensure that methods, deadlines and quality requirements have been met; and make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities. Provides orientation/training of Primary Care and other staff regarding various aspects of Audiology and of the services provided. Work Schedule : Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
