This fulltime position offers the opportunity to work in a cuttingedge laboratory environment with a focus on preparing pathological slides for diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and emergency tests on various body fluids using automated and manual equipment
  • Prepare reagents and manage inventory
  • Assist with order entry and phone inquiries
  • Provide guidance to technicians and train new employees
  • Maintain a clean work area following Infection Control guidelines
  • Handle additional lab tasks as needed


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in a physical science; medical technology preferred.
  • New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or a limited permit is required.
  • Proficiency with laboratory and hospital information system computers as well as various automated and laboratory equipment is essential.
