Neonatologist - Denver, CO

About this role:
Clinical Care
- Patient Diagnosis: Conduct thorough examinations of newborns, diagnose conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Life-Saving Interventions: Provide immediate medical care for newborns in critical condition, including resuscitation and the use of advanced life support techniques.
- Treatment Management: Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor the progress of critically ill or premature infants.
- Coordination of Care: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, pediatricians, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care for newborns.
- Parental Support: Communicate with and support parents, explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses while offering emotional support.
Administrative Duties
- Medical Records: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to hospital policies, governmental regulations, and industry standards for neonatal care.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of neonatal nurses, medical students, and residents, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
Continuous Education
- Professional Development: Stay current with the latest advancements in neonatology through continuing medical education, attending conferences, and reading scientific journals.
- Research: Participate in or conduct research studies aimed at improving neonatal care and outcomes.
How we'll support you:
Compensation: Our competitive compensation consists of an initial base salary of $370,000. We are also offering a $75,000 sign on bonus.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirements
- Medical Degree: A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Residency: Completion of a pediatric residency program.
- Fellowship: Additional specialized fellowship training in neonatology.
- Board Certification: Board certification in neonatology by a recognized medical board (e.g., the American Board of Pediatrics).
- DEA, BLS

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
