Cafeteria Workers

*** on-call, substitute as well as permanent positions are available***

Duties Include:

Performs a variety of duties related to the Billerica School Nutrition Program
Prepare foods for menus following USDA regulations, recipes and serving sizes.
Operate kitchen equipment for food preparation, serving meals, sanitation, dishwasher, POS (point of sale), etc. effectively
Set up serving areas and other food items as assigned
Serve breakfast and lunch to students as scheduled
Adhere to safe and sanitary working practices and procedures. Maintain facilities in a clean and sanitary condition
Performs duties involved in the safe preparation and handling of food, cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities, and serving of food.
Adhere to uniform procedure
Assure food items and supplies are stored properly
Must be able to stand for duration of work shift
Must be able to lift 40lbs
Must be able to follow written and oral instruction
Communicate both verbally and written with students and adults effectively
Works as a member of the school nutrition team
Assist students in the cafeteria serving area
Performs and responsible for other general duties as assigned by the Cook Manager and Director of School Nutrition or designee and policies of the Billerica School Committee
