What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:

Woodard & Curran is looking for a Wastewater Operator to join our team in Northwest Houston, Texas. You will regularly participate in the daily operations and maintenance of the Industrial Wastewater Treatment System as directed by the Project Manager. You will ensure safety standards are met in all operations, as well as monitor wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment both manually and via SCADA automation, making adjustments as necessary to control their operation. In addition, you will perform water quality sampling, testing, and analysis to determine compliance with federal, state, and EPA standards, and operate, maintain, control, and perform routine repair of plant equipment, including preventive maintenance duties.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, eight hour shifts with weekends as needed. Our staff participate in an on-call rotation on weekends, holidays and outside normal workday hours and will be required to respond to emergency or unpredictable situations.

What You Will Need To Succeed
    • Texas Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's License or the ability to obtain through the operator's exam or reciprocity preferred.
    • 3-5 years' experience working in a wastewater or water treatment environment preferred.
    • Working knowledge of the principles, procedures, methods, equipment, materials, and tools employed in the operation and maintenance of Wastewater Treatment Systems.
    • Thorough knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in wastewater treatment work.
    • A valid Texas motor vehicle operator's license.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

$20 - $25 an hour

• Annual Project bonuses are awarded each year.

• Annual Safety bonuses are awarded each year.
