Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer to be based in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilitiies:

  • Civil Engineer will serve as discipline design lead on projects that include an emphasis on receipt, storage, transfer, and issue of finished fuel products such as aviation jet fuel, diesel fuel, ethanol, and motor gasoline.

  • Projects include tanker truck receipt, marine vessel receipt, aboveground and underground transfer pipelines, aboveground and underground horizontal and vertical storage tanks, and aircraft and tanker truck issue systems. Projects will also include ground vehicle refueling systems such as fleet and retail service stations.

  • Civil Engineer will work and coordinate with multidiscipline engineering teams including electrical, structural, and mechanical engineers.

  • Position will include responsibility for development of discipline specific design execution plans for assigned projects. Position will be responsible for completing projects on schedule and within the established budgets and for ensuring that all discipline specific contract requirements have been met. Civil Engineer will ensure that designs following established project quality procedures and that required quality control reviews and checks are completed and documented.

  • Civil Engineer will assist in training and supervision of work of junior and entry-level engineers conducting fueling design work.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS in Civil Engineering with 4 Years of related civil design experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Experience with site drainage and grading, retention ponds, site utilities, and erosion control

  • Ability to travel one week per month inside the US and internationally

  • Experience and ability to use Civil 3D and standard AutoCad

  • Passed FE exam and hold current EIT

  • Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with design of AFCEC, NAVFAC, and USACE fueling projects

  • Hold professional engineer license in at least one state

  • Experience with UFGS Specifications

  • Experience with commercial and/or Department of Defense fueling design projects. Other project experience related to industrial site design (i.e. waste water treatment, light industrial sites, and heavy industrial sites) will be considered as an alternate
