Paramedic

We are seeking a Paramedic to join our team You will assess injuries, administer emergency medical care, and extricate trapped individuals.

We offer a $2000.00 sign on bonus for qualified candidates

Responsibilities:

• Provides pre-hospital and interfacility transport of sick and injured patients from site of origin through definitive care.
• Obtains information from patients, bystanders, and other medical staff to determine appropriate treatment modality and appropriate destination of care.
• Quickly determines the nature of illness and mechanism of injury along with extent of illness or injury to establish appropriate treatments.
• Lifts, carries, and transports injured, sick or incapacitated persons from site of emergency to definitive care.
• Administer appropriate treatment at site of emergency, or in specially equipped vehicle.
• Monitor communication equipment to maintain contact with dispatchers, other first responders, and hospitals.
• Communicate with medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities.
• Operates emergency vehicles following principles of EVOC and follows NYS VT laws.
• Lead and direct in a team environment to include other care givers and first responders.

Qualifications:

• Currently certified as a NYS Paramedic and AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS qualifications
• Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Drivers License without record of suspension or revocation in any State.
• No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
• Citizen of the US
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
• Ability to meet department physical standards
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Must be of good moral character and temperament and possess industrious habits
