Summary

This position is part of the Office of Science - Headquarters, Department of Energy. As a Physicist, you will conceive, justify, plan, initiate, manage, and coordinate all aspects of a broad range of experimental nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics research that serves the mission of the Office.

Duties

As a Physicist, you will:

Serve as a Program Manager with responsibility for the research portfolio on nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics. Serve as a recognized expert in nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics research. Prepare, justify, and support the portions of the budget relating to the area of responsibility. Develop connections and interfaces between the research supported within the nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics physics program and other research programs. Review reports and studies prepared by other offices in DOE and other Federal agencies as they impact nuclear structure and nuclear astrophysics research.
