The Senior .NET Developer is expected to take a lead role within the team; develop/enhance/maintain VB.NET and SQL code ensuring that programming best practices are being followed prioritizing work effectively addressing production issues in a timely manner and writing system documentation when required. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills to be effective in both technical and business requirement discussions.

Seniorlevel developer with strong experience in VB.NET and .NET technologies capable of leading development efforts while mentoring junior team members

Experience with ASP.NET and MVC is a strong plus but the core focus is VB.NET SQL and general .NET development

VB.NET and TSQL are heavily emphasized with a minimum of 5 years of experience required.

C# is also required though with slightly less experience (3 years).

Strong experience in both backend and frontend development using .NET technologies (ASP.NET MVC CORE) along with JavaScript jQuery and CSS.

Understanding of software design patterns tiered architecture and reusability

.NET Development (VB.NET C# ASP.NET MVC): Strong focus on VB.NET and C# though experience with ASP.NET and MVC is highly desired but not mandatory.

TSQL/SQL Server: Proficiency in TSQL is a key requirement for databaserelated tasks.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Ability to develop applications and backend services using VB.NET TSQL C# ASP.NET MVC CORE Web API Java Script JQuery and CSS
  • Must be very strong in working with complex TSQL
  • Design and develop using appropriate software design patterns to attain high reusability and maintainability.
  • Write effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high quality software delivery
  • Indepth knowledge of system design patterns tiered architecture and testing practices.
  • Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
  • Ability to plan and manage projects. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.
  • Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
  • Work with project business and system analysts to clarify the requirements and then implement them
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Enforce standards and best practices
