Division Overview:

The (MBCC) mission is to proactively contribute to public safety, crime prevention, victim assistance through planning, policy development and coordination of the justice system in partnership with citizens, government, and communities. 

Job Overview :

The role of the Data Warehouse Architect is to strategically design and implement a data warehouse composed of data received from multiple agencies, at both the state and local levels, in varying formats while ensuring high levels of data availability. This position is responsible for architecting and structuring data in a scalable manner providing a means to model data, support analyses and reporting, all while ensuring data quality and data integrity. This position will lead and/or support activities such as data analysis, data profiling, and data validation. The incumbent will also be supporting integration of data from various sources. The data architect position is a critical contributor that will participate in defining data standards and appropriate models for data warehouse needs. This position will work closely with agency business partners, data consumers, and other key business and MBCC leadership stakeholders. The data architect will be developing processes to support data flows from their source into the target data warehouse models.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology related field. Coursework related to database concepts, security principles, and IT architecture. Four years of related experience in database schema development, database administration, data warehouse operations and/support, data modeling experience, and SQL. Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with criminal justice data. Tableau or other dashboarding skills and knowledge
