Job Overview:
Contributes to patient care in the clinic environment following nursing staff directives, carrying out various duties in alignment with the nursing principles. Assigned tasks are carried out efficiently while being adaptable and responsive.
Position: Urology Clinic, Janesville, WI
Hours: 72 per 2 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shifts (No Weekends)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares patients and rooms for examinations and procedures
- Gathers patient information and updates medical records
- Assists with various medical procedures and tests
- Ensures accurate documentation of provided services
- Administers treatments and medications as prescribed
- Monitors patients for any adverse reactions and notifies the Registered Nurse
- Executes basic healthcare instructions for patients and families
- Conducts EKG's and basic laboratory tests
- Draws blood specimens through venipuncture
- Participates in Quality Assurance and Improvement processes
- Manages inventory and orders necessary medical supplies
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited LPN Program
Certifications/Licenses:
- Active LPN licensure in Wisconsin
- CPR or BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment
Physical Requirements:
Regular tasks involve manual dexterity, reaching, talking, and hearing. Standing and walking are frequently required, with occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and smelling.
Lifting up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally is necessary. Specific visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
