Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Civil Manager for immediate employment in the Murray, UT office. The appropriately qualified applicant will have demonstrated experience in project management of multi-disciplinary transportation projects. The candidate can look forward to leading transportation projects in Utah.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Performs various management, leadership, business development, and people accountability responsibilities for a specific technical group or department.
  • Work with the local and regional management to develop and execute project pursuits and delivery, specifically for the Utah Department of Transportation
  • Formulate and execute project opportunity capture strategies, including teaming and positioning for strategic pursuits and identification of required staff resources to win and effectively deliver projects
  • Establish relationships with both external and internal clients
  • Manage and mentor staff to enable seamless design and plan development
  • Be a visible leader and trusted advisor to clients by promoting AECOM’s values both internally and externally
  • Must possess excellent analytical, technical skills and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Proven track record with client account management, project pursuit execution, and engineering staff development
  • Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
  • Perform business development and marketing activities to grow the business
  • Assist with development of marketing strategies for targeted projects and clients within Utah and surrounding areas
  • Demonstrate leadership within the local office and externally while promoting AECOM’s values
Minimum Requirements
• BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 15 + years of progressive experience designing and delivering projects
  • Utah Professional Engineering License
  • Experience as project manager or lead roadway engineer on UDOT projects
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation3D, Geopak and other civil design software
  • Client relationships with UDOT and business development experience
