[What the role is]

This position resides with the Properties & Facilities Management (PFM) Division, reporting to the Section Head, Security & Emergency Preparedness (SEP). The appointed jobholder will be responsible to plan, manage and conduct Emergency Preparedness (EP) and Business Continuity related programmes and exercises to ensure NLB’s operational readiness and preparedness. The successful candidate is also required to assist with the policies & plans relating to EP and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), and oversee the procurement & contractual matters of the team.

[What you will be working on]

Emergency Planning

  • Plan, manage and conduct EP and Business Continuity programmes, workshops and exercises
  • Co-ordinate with Divisional Reps, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of emergency plans
  • Assist with the review of policies and plans relating to EP and WSH
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation measures
  • Conduct safety and security checks so as to comply with the sectoral regulatory requirements (e.g. WSH)
  • Manage and monitor NLB emergency stockpile items

Training and Education

  • Organise and conduct emergency response trainings, drills for employees
  • Foster a culture of preparedness by promoting best practises and safety guidelines

Emergency Response Coordination

  • Serve as the point of contact during emergencies, coordinating response efforts and resources
  • Activate emergency ops centre if required
  • Communicate and collaborate with external agencies, such as emergency services authorities i.e SPF, SCDF

Contract & Contractor management

  • Management of contract and contractor for EP

Budget and Procurement support

  • Plan and manage procurement process and EP related Contracts
  • Manage the various Fund sources
  • Verify invoices for goods/ services received

[What we are looking for]

  • Candidates with operational background and professional certifications in Security, EP and Workplace Safety & Health preferred
  • Prior experience in government procurement policies & guidelines
  • Self-motivated, responsible, possess good interpersonal and people management skills
  • Good command of English (spoken and written)
  • Meticulous and attentive to details
  • Able to cope with a fast-paced work environment

The successful applicant will first be appointed on a 2-year contract basis.
