Budget Analyst

Clarification from the agency

All current career/career-conditional or former federal employees with reinstatement eligibility; Veterans' Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA); Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) and former Public Land Corps (PLC) eligibles; Persons eligible under other Special Hiring Authorities. Duties

Lead efforts related to financial planning, budgetary authorizations and financial management system requirements and participate on committees to discuss budget planning, management, policies and procedures at the state level. Provide budgetary guidance to managers, supervisors and lower-level personnel regarding high-level budgetary activities and all phases of budget. Develop quantitative reports as part of the Mid-Year, Third-Quarter, End-of-Year and other performance related events and participate in periodic audits of lower-level budgetary operations to ensure all proper processes are followed. Provide clear and concise correspondence, analysis, and reports to achieve desired outcomes and ensure the integrity of the budget. Interpret and assess the impact of new and revised Congressional legislation on the formulation of budgets.
